Hi everyone,

I haven't had any confirmation about this, but I think we'll be doing a few small workshops this weekend at Eurisko in North Melbourne.

It should be a pretty easy-going event. I think we are doing a few small mini-workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Nothing fancy, just getting people up and running with Python and doing a few loop-de-loops with the turtle.

I've asked for two extra tickets, so whoever is up for a brief bit of workshop fun and free entry should reply. Matthew I know you mentioned coming so I'll keep one for you.

We are still a bit in the dark over it so it might not happen. But if it does it sounds like a lot of fun.

Hi Steven,

I'll be at Eurisko with Freetronics. I originally thought I wouldn't
have time to coach an OTS full session, but if they're the mini
sessions then I may be able to slip out for a few. Don't count me as a
definite though, it will depend on how busy things are at the FT
stall. :/

I've pulled out of Eurisko. It's too late to advertise and I'm not sure that BYO laptop would actually happen for that event.

It's unfortunate but I think necessary. We advertise far ahead for our workshops for a reason. It enables the most interested or needy to sign up and gives people time to organise their schedule. We give a lot of information up front, try to cover all the bases, and give plenty of time to ask questions. This is because learning something new can make people feel vulnerable and we want to make our learning experience as anxiety-free as possible. This is just one of the ways we managed to get such a broad range of age, cultural background and gender.

I don't think we can get any of that in time for Eurisko this year. So hopefully next year we'll get a good three or four week lead-in to set everything up.

Cheers,
