How are group "weights" interpreted in BMv2?

Hi Stratum-dev folks,

                                     I'm working with bmv2 switches and using the GroupBucket interface of ONOS to add groups such that I can specify a custom "weight" value. 

Questions:

1. What is the range of values for "weight"?

2. Let's assume the range was 1-10. Does a weight of 10 for a given path guarantee that the bmv2 switch logic will take this path(i.e. there is a 100% chance that the path is selected)? If not, can you kindly provide feedback as to how this decision is made based on the weight?

Hi Syd,

1. It is a short in ONOS but this value eventually will be constrained/governed by the dataplane (you may not have available the full range)
