Hello all,

Today we released VOLTHA 2.6. While VOLTHA is already in field trials, this end-of-year release accomplishes two major milestones that have been in-the-works all year
  1. A transition to the golang based open-onu adaptor
  2. A VOLTHA pod that can scale to 10k subscribers
Read more about it in the release notes. In it you will find the highlights of this release, together with the component versions and known-issues.

Please note that the official VOLTHA documentation site has also been updated, where you will find documentation for bringing up VOLTHA 2.6 with physical as well as emulated hardware, including new documentation on multi-stacks.
Our regression test suite has also grown to include new tests for the Device Management Interface (DMI), multiple-hardware-OLTs on the same VOLTHA stack, and scale tests using BBSim for multiple-VOLTHA stacks for all 3 operator workflows.

As always, we thank the SEBA/VOLTHA community and TST for their continued engagement and enthusiasm, and look forward to the operators taking VOLTHA & ONOS to production in 2021.

Happy Holidays - stay healthy!
See you (hopefully physically sometime) in 2021!

- ONF Team
