The organizing  committee  is  delighted  to invite  you to the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Network Softwarization (NetSoft 2017)

that will take place on May 8, 2017 in Bologna, Italy. See here.

IEEE NetSoft 2017 Conference will address the theme “Softwarization Sustaining a Hyper-connected World: en route to 5G”. 5G, in fact,

will be much more than the next generation of mobile infrastructures after 4G: it will be a first expression of a larger trend, known as the

Softwarization of Telecommunications, where SDN, NFV but also Cloud Computing, and its evolution towards Edge and Fog Computing,

and even Artificial Intelligence are converging together.

The program set up after the paper selection covers numerous topics such as Network softwarization for 5G, SDN and NFV as enabling

technologies for 5G, Placement and Chaining, Chaining and Orchestration for NFV and SDN, Performance and scalability in NFV and SDN,

SDN Data Plane design, Security, trust and privacy in SDN/NFV, Security and SDN state management, and SDN engineering.

In addition, NetSoft 2017 will feature a number of specific Sessions that include:

4 keynotes

  • TIM Roadmap to 5G
  • 5G for Vertical Industries, driving “Software Networks”
  • Accelerating 5G with Mobile CORD
  • Bridging Cloud’s Uncanny Valley: Moving from Classic to “Cloud-Native” Enterprise Estates

1 Distinguished Expert Panel closing the conference

Moving Frontiers in Network Softwarization

3 Workshops

  • Hot-topics in Softwarized Networks
  • Open-Source Software Networking
  • Network programmability: From the data center to the ground

3 tutorials

  • End-to-End Programmability and Orchestration in 5G Networks
  • The ONOS and CORD projects
  • Fast Packet processing in VNF using DPDK and fd.io
