Announcing SD-Core 1.0 release

Hello Everyone,

We are happy to inform you that we just released the first version of SD-Core.  Here is the list of feature we would like to highlight for this release:

  • Extensive documentation of SD-Core Project
  • Configuration APIs
    • Support of REST APIs to configure SD-Core
    • Support of Yaml based configuration through Simapp
  • Subscriber Management Interface
    • Clean separate interface to manage subscribers in SD-Core
    • Modular architecture to allow third party subscriber management application integration
  • 3gpp defined procedures validation and hardening
    • All supported procedures handle the error cases seen in production like packet loss, retransmission, error response, no response
  • Operations support to manage multiple PLMN within Core Network
  • Multiple User plane support using CUPS call flows
    • SD-Core is compliant with CUPS architecture and uses PFCP to interact with the user plane
    • SD-Core can handle multiple user plane connections simultaneously.
  • Metrics exposure to get visibility of radio network connections and UE connections
  • SD-Core Scale support
    • Support of 5000 calls at rate of 10 calls per second in 5G
    • Support of 16000 calls at the rate of 100 calls per second in 4G 
  • Policy framework to support QoS at multiple levels
    • Dynamic PCC rule support using Gx interface
    • QoS support at UE level and  Application/PCC rule level
  • 5G gNB simulator
    • gNB simulator simulates 5G UE & 5G gNodeB
    • gNBSim is capable of supporting multiple UEs and multiple gNodeBs.
    • Tool support ICMP data test
