OpenMRS 2.2 releasing Soon

Hello Everyone,

OpenMRS 2.2 is about to be released by March 31st. As you may already know 2.x version releases are a set of modules released on top of the recently release API version OpenMRS to give an out of the box EMR system functionality. The recently release API version of OpenMRS is 1.11 and hence it will be the base API for 2.2. The list of bundled modules planned to be released in this release are

Before the release of Modules we would like to call for feedback from our community members all around the world who would not like to miss a certain ticket(s) in those modules. Please mention the ticket here. If there is a developer already assigned to the ticket we will see if it can be included. If no one is assigned to the ticket we will call out to the developers and see if someone can pick it up. If you can interact with the developer personally it will greatly encourage him to complete it as soon as possible. We know there is not much time for release, but we will try our best to accommodate each of your request.

This is so good and promising to us @Maurya, we look forward to this release, It looks like http://devtest02.openmrs.org:8080/openmrs is still running 1.10.2 SNAPSHOT, I would suggest that we set to run 1.11.0 since this is the power we hope to be behind 2.2, the earlier we do this the better for us to work on issues and also to allow a test experience to our users and developers.

Thank you for the prompt reply and keeping an eye on the versioning part. You are correct that we need to aim for releasing the current stable releases.It is my mistake as I got to the list based on the previous release notes. But, there are a few modules that have not been released in the modulus and a few modules have not released the version being used in the previous releases.

 I am listing out the modules again with the current stable release modules as found in the modulus. We will aim for releasing all these versions .

Disclaimer: if the testing for any of the below modules is not completed on time the module's previous version as listed out in the original email will be the one released.

@Joseph Kaweesi, Thank you for mentioning about it but, presently that test server is in use as listed here.

• devtest02.openmrs.org - Darius Jazayeri (Reference Application manual functional tests)

I am not sure if Darius is fine with upgrading it right away, if yes we can move ahead with it. If not I will request another server to start our setup of OpenMRS 2.2.
