Hi folks!

I'm proud to announce that the iOS OpenMRS Client is now available in all App Stores for download!

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/openmrs-ios-client/id951760112?ls=1&mt=8

uzanysa made an awesome promo video for the app - go watch it!

Features:

 - Login to any OpenMRS installation
 - Search for patients
 - Add patients to the database
 - View patient visits and vitals
 - Record a patient's vitals
 - Take visit notes
 - Use the app offline. You can store selected patients to an encrypted database on your device, then access them anywhere in the world.

The ultimate goal of this project is to build a fully functional iOS app that can be used by healthcare staff to create and update patient information through OpenMRS' REST API. The full source code of the project is available on GitHub, and contributions are welcome!

A full user guide is available on the OpenMRS wiki, along with a technical guide

It crashed on my iPhone 6 when I put in the demo site URL & credentials, but, when I opened the app again, it was working! :-)

Nice job!

Parker, it looks good. DO we use the normal Logon/ID or have to create a new one specific for any patients I(we) may create? Terry

Terry,

Thanks! For a login, you use your normal OpenMRS login credentials - to log into the demo server, you can use "demo.openmrs.org/openmrs", "admin", and "Admin123", just like logging in through a web browser.

Congratulations! Hope to see more of this at Medinfo 2015!

Would Parker and anyone from the OpenMRS core team be able to present OpenMRS  state-of-the-art (engine, platform, UI, mobile) to the Asia eHealth Information Network? We have bimonthly webinars with our members over Webex...

If yes, Aliyah our secretariat copied here can coordinate the session....

Let us know...

Parker, I am having troubles Adding a Patient.
I get to the last 2 fields for Registration and there are 4 options for Numbers.
In our health system we have 2 numbers - 6 and 9 digits. Neither of these work when "Done" is selected.
Also if I want to store MY patients do I have to have my own local web address or is there a facility to store them in a unique location on the existing "demo" link?

Terry,

Would you mind reporting the bug when adding a patient on GitHub?

Also, if you'd like to keep your patients separate you need to have your own OpenMRS installation - there's an installation guide here.

I hope this helps, and I'll try to fix this bug whenever you'd like.

Terry,
Are you trying to create patients on the demo server? Does it work when going through the regular web interface? My thinking is that there may be a mask or validation rule running on the demo server. I think it is expecting a check digit.

Andy, Parker has provided me with the explanation that shows my relative or absolute “ignorance” (readily accepted) about what I was trying to do.

So it is back to the START for me. Thanks Andy.

I also sent an email to your yahoo address and Columbia address re some info on the MVP. I do not know if you saw it. Terry

This looks really cool!  I am able to login to the demo server, but not our hospital's installation of OMRS.  Is there something that I need to enable on our OMRS server?

Thanks!

Jeremy,

The app requires the REST webservices module - do you have that installed?
