How to deploy standalone installation with demo data?

Hello,

I am very new to OpenMRS and am trying to familiarize myself with the program through the standalone installation. I went through the installation, selecting the configuration option that uses demo data, but when I start up the server and log in, I am not able to see any of the demo data. Is there anything special I should do to tell OpenMRS to import the demo data that comes in the standalone folder?

Hi Allie,

Did you choose Demo mode (rather than Starter Implementation)?

That should create 100 (I think) patients with random names.

Hi Darius,

I figured it out -- thanks! I did choose the Demo mode option, but I just didn't know where to look to find the patient data in the OpenMRS user interface. I eventually found the data by clicking on  'Find a Patient Record' and then typing a generic name (such as 'John') into the 'Search by ID or Name' field.
