hence im unable to enter my form from patients side, though it is created successfully

how can i solve this issue?

I have attached a screenshot of the error herewith

Hi,

i solved it by adding providers by persons that are existing in the system. i had prreviously added them using Provider Name.

why is it essential that we have a provider here?

Hi,

I am not sure what versions of HTML form entry and OpenMRS you are using or if HTML form entry has been updated in the last few months. But because providers were new objects added in 1.9 and HTML form entry needs to be backwards compatible the last time I checked the encounterProvider tag in html form entry actually pulled from user objects not the provider objects (though a user needed to be a provider as well in order for the form to save). So try creating users for your providers (linking them to the providers you have already created) and see if that resolves the issues.

I know there were proposed changes for the HTML form entry to allow for it to just pull from a list of providers and not users but not sure if any work has been done on those changes yet.

Hope that helps,

Hi Awanth,

In OpenMRS 1.9+ an encounter is allowed to have multiple providers, and those providers should be recorded as having a specific "encounter role" within the encounter. The correct thing to do here is:

1. Install the htmlformentry19ext module
2. Use the <encounterProviderAndRole/> tag instead.

The tag is documented at:

Hi Awanth,

What version of HTML Form Entry module are you currently using? If its 2.2.1 i guess, I think you should try considering HTML Form Entry Extension version 1.4 for OpenMRS 1.9 , It Provides access to OpenMRS 1.9 functionality (e.g. Providers) in HTML Form Entry.

Regard
GibriL Gmz.

Hi Gibril,

Im using 2.1.X with the extension version as well. my mistake was that i tried to create providers by name not by users in openmrs, once i linked users as roviders it worked ..
thanks
