The Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) and I-Tech Kenya are co-sponsoring a one day forum for Kenya-based OpenMRS developers and users on Friday, 15 March 2013 at the CHAK Conference Centre and Guest House on Musa Gitau Road, Lavington from 9.30 am to 4 pm. There is a 2,000 KSH fee per person to cover costs. Chai and lunch will be served.
The objective of the meeting is to further increase collaboration within Kenya on OpenMRS-related development efforts by increasing understanding of current Kenya-based initiatives and by providing an additional forum for face-to-face interactions. The OpenMRS model of “un-conferences” will be adopted. Several groups will give brief presentations of their ongoing OpenMRS development initiatives (e.g. I-Tech development of Kenyan MoH EMR; CHAK development of OpenHMIS; FACES use of OpenMRS in MoH AIDS clinics; and others), with ample time for Q & A discussion and networking.
