Hello,

I am using openers 2.0 with htmlformentry 2.4 and Register Module 1.2 (same goes for 1.2.1 that I found in a discussion).
  • I created an htmlform
  • I setup the register.showDashboardTabForHtmlForm with the form's id
  • I restarted the register module
Now, when I visit the new tab that is named correctly after the form, and press the "+" button I get this exception

Is there some kind of incompatibility because the Register Module is rather older compared to htmlform module ?

thanks

Charis,

A lot of the OpenMRS community is that the implementer conference in Maputo this week, so responses may be slow.  Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, we aren't currently using the Register module any more at any of our implementations at Partners In Health.  We developed it to use in Rwanda, but I just confirmed with the Rwanda team that we are no longer using it there, so it is likely that, yes, it is old and doesn't work with the latest version of the Html Form Entry module.  It looks like the last release of the Register module depended on Html Form Entry 1.9, so you could try using that version of the module (though, unfortunately, of course, you might run into conflicts with other modules).

Sorry that isn't more helpful--is there anyone else there currently using the Register module?

Take care,
Mark

Thanks a lot for the reply Mark.

I am basically looking for ways of creating a tab in the Patient dashboard from an html formentry that will collect and present observations for the patient. These observations will be part of the patient's profile and will not get updated in each encounter so having a form in the Forms tab is not a solution for me, while having a tab is.

Are you looking for a summary of the patient ?

I imagined that a register would have multiple rows of fixed patient data which you should be able to get with the reporting module

No, actually I have a html form entry which uses html flow sheet and would like to make a separate tab out of this form. So I guess that the Register module is not suitable for this.
