MDS 2.0 Kickoff Meeting | OMF MDS Working Group Meeting - Oct 28

Hello MDS Working Group Community,

Congrats! MDS 1.2 is in the approval process and we’re kicking off MDS 2.0 release planning this week. This will be the next major release and we’re confident that changes included in this release will help expand the applicability of MDS to new mobility while also clarifying and simplifying existing support. If it’s been a few meetings since you attended, you’ll want to make sure you set aside time next Thursday to see what MDS 2.0 is all about and help shape the future of the spec.

For next week’s meeting, we will be reviewing the MDS 2.0 release plan and opening the meeting up for discussion on other changes you might like to see in the next release. Please be prepared to discuss use cases with any feature proposals you’d like to discuss.

Hello MDS Working Group,

Thank you for a productive kick-off meeting last week for MDS 2.0. Thanks to Steve for hosting and for the meeting notes, and for stepping in for Sebastien.

Action items for you include:

• If you’ve added an issue and think it should be in 2.0, put a comment to that effect in the comment area of existing issues
• If you haven’t put anything yet in GitHub, make an issue or come to the next meeting.
• We’re seeing a lot more cities roll Policy into their permits. We want to find out from cities using this, how is it working for you? Leave your thoughts on GitHub.
