The GeoNode Project Steering Committee has now approved a GeoNode Improvement Proposal (GNIP) policy.

The GNIP process is now the means by which new features and major changes are proposed and approved for GeoNode core development.  If you are interested in making such technical proposals, we encourage you to review the policy here:

Our hope is that this policy will help keep GeoNode's identity coherent and its development focused as it evolves to meet users' needs.

This GNIP process is for technical proposals.  The process for making more 'descriptive' roadmap proposals is currently in a drafting phase.

We welcome discussion and proposed changes to these policies, especially as they are tested by the community.

Best regards,
The GeoNode PSC
