Dear Friends
Is there any workflow/methodology to carry out Spectral Decomposition in PSDM (depth domain) 3D seismic data.
As I understand, Spectral Decomposition is a frequency (cycles/sec or Hz.) decomposition but where as in depth domain we are dealing with cycles/km or cycles/m or cycles/ft instead of frequency.
One way to address the above issue is to have a time-scaled PSDM data, but in absence of this will it be possible to carry out Spec. Decomposition.
Weith best regards
Naik

While technically incorrect you can use depth data as input to spec decomp.

Data in twt is preferred as the wavelet should be more stable whereas in depth changes in velocity distort the wavelet.

But in practice I have found there is no problem using depth input.
