Hello,I have a question: How can I add a description, e.g., a crossline or inline number, that will be displayed in the seismic section as in the attached image? I searched through all available options, but I didn't find it. In the tree menu there is "Annotations" at the end where you can add an image, but if I use an image as a caption, the description is very distorted because the image is always in the form of a square, not a rectangle, and captions are rather rectangular than in a square.

Hi.
Just as a related aside, is there a way to display the well track on the 2d viewer? I have searched and couldn't find a way to do so.
Thanks.
Ikenna

Dear Ikenna,
Thank you kindly for your question.
Deviated well paths are still best depicted in 3D viewer. Options are to digitize a random line down the "spine" of a deviated well bore using View Z with the perspective switched off (please don't forget to save the random line name) . Then, you can either display the random line and toggle to orthorectified view (i.e., perspective is switched off), or you can view the random line in the 2D viewer. However, as noted, in this mode the well path does not display. As a workaround, we suggest to digitize the well path at strategic locations, like geological markers, and then choose this point set to display in the 2D viewer (example attached). Note: display of deviated wells in well correlation panel will be verticalized to permit meaningful correlation.
Best regards,
Uwe

Hello Waldek,Have you tried displaying the inline or crossline numbers in a 2D view? The IL/XL number should be visible at the top of the seismic section in that display. Is this the kind of annotation you're looking for?
