Hi!

I have a processed 2D line, stack and prestack data. I want to obtain avo attribs from CDP sorted NMO corrected prestack data, but i dont know the way how to load in prestack data properly. I tryed load the stacked line, then the prestack data, everything seems fine, but when i left click to the stack line to select "display prestack data" (as a crossline) all i got an error says there is no data in this area or something.

Thanks for any help

Dear Benjamin,

The input data that you have is a 2D Line ( a prestack data). So, you have to make a 2D survey project setup and once the project is launched and the data is imported, you can select on 2D line in the tree and display it.

For creating a 2D project correctly,

Step 1: Note down the X and Y coordinate range if you have. If you do not have it, then you can obtain it from your Pre-Stack data, by scanning your data through Opendtect.

Step 2: Then once you got these information, click on " setup new project", then go for "manually selecting for 2D". Enter the X coordinate and Y coordinate ranges and assign the grid spacing.

Step 3: Once this is done a a survey box will be created with fake inline and crosslines.

Step 4: Then Import your seismic data

Step 5: Once the import is successful, click on 2D line in the left side within the tree and then display your data.

Hope this helps you !

With kind Regards
Chinmoy

Thanks, but i allready tried this method. I sucessfully read in the 2D Stacked line (segy rev 1) (i can also load in the 3D viewer), as 2D seismic. Then i load the 2D prestack (also segy rev 1) data  without any error. But when i right-click to my 2d stack line to "Display prestack data" and choose my allready loaded prestack dataset i got this error message "Can not read or no data at the section".

My question is how opendtect knows which prestack CDP gather belongs to a certain CDP point on my stack? It should use the cdp number in the header, but doesnt seem to work that way.

I really hope, somebody knows the answer.

Okay i figured out. After the stacked data loaded, the prestack data trace number (byte 5 on default) should be change to the byte number of the CDP numbers.
