Hi,

Would appreciate guidance to vertically, i.e. in time, shift wells for display. I would like to just apply a bulk shift to all logs displayed from a certain well on their respective seismic. Also, how can I incorporate the check shot table to adjust the velocity model that is used for displaying wells on seismic.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Sami,

The display of all logs (and markers) in a time project is controlled by the current time-depth model of your well. This time-depth model can best be edited within the 'Tie Well to Seismic' module, that will as you suggest automatically use the checkshot model in the well (if loaded) and the chosen sonic log to create the initial time-depth model. Once on screen it is very quick to apply a bulk shift and save the shifted time-depth model. Please follow the corresponding How-to on the Well Tie to repeat that workflow.
If all your well data has been loaded beforehand, opening that window, choosing and applying a bulk shift, saving the resulting time-depth model can be done in less than a minute, and will give you confidence that the logs are aligned with your seismic before proceeding further.
