OpendTect 6.0 Installation

Dear All,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Irfan from Indonesia. I just recently joined the group :)

Is anyone in this group can help me to install OpendTect 6.0? I've downloaded the software installer from website http://www.opendtect.org/, and then when I want to install through online, it's always failed to access from the internet, although my internet is working. Can I install the software without link to internet?

Dear Irfan,

I would suggest that you opt for an offline installation package. This may work for you. Once you have the installer open, follow the directions on this page.

The advantage with this method is that even if you can not access from that same machine, you can use the offline package manager to create a package on a USB stick which you can then install on any machine.
