We are expanding our development team at dGB Earth Sciences and are looking to hire two C++ programmers:
1 Junior Developer (or final-year intern, with the option to transition into full-time)
1 Senior Developer (10+ years of experience)

You will contribute to the development and enhancement of OpendTect and its commercial plugins. This includes innovative tools such as our Machine Learning plugin and the HorizonCube global interpretation tool, as well as maintaining and extending the database access API for handling 3D cubes and seismic data.
Your first major project will be to develop a data-access feature for OpendTect using the OSDU Forum’s open-source cloud-based API, tested on our AWS infrastructure.
Enhance existing features and develop new applications
Collaborate with internal and external users to gather requirements
Deliver robust, scalable, and user-focused solutions
Define milestones and ensure timely delivery
Contribute to R&D projects with the OpendTect community
Perform unit and integration testing
Additional responsibilities for the Senior role:
Code review and mentoring junior developers
Leading design discussions and ensuring best practices
Monitoring and supporting cloud-based deployments
Providing input on 3D visualization strategies
For Both Roles:
Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Strong C++ development skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Proactive, motivated, and analytical mindset
Experience with Qt and/or Vulkan
Familiarity with databases (SQL), Python, or Unix scripting
Senior Developer – Required:
10+ years of professional experience
Strong Qt development skills
Experience with cloud development (AWS and/or Azure)
Proven track record in code review, mentoring, and team leadership
Experience with 3D visualization tools and techniques
