Hi,

I am unable to proceed to train model with my seismic data.

I noticed that I'm supposed to have a new set of tabs underneath to choose parameters like in the second picture, but this doesn't appear on my interface. What could be the cause?
Thanks in advance
Emesiri

Hi Emesiri,

I do not see the images you are referring to. Could you please attach them to your email?

Thanks,
Hesham

Dear Emesiri,

Which version of OpendTect are you using, and on which platform?
The software component we are using for the display of the python GUI (that you are missing) is not compatible with the newest Linux kernels, Ubuntu 22 and above, RHEL9 and above.
If you are using such OS, please add '--no-sandbox'  flag when starting OpendTect: 'start_dtect --no-sandbox'. This flag will be embedded in the application as of OpendTect 7.0.10, whereas the next major release 2025.1 will have full compatibility with the latest Linux kernels.

In all other cases, most often the problems originate from the example data, which is empty, or not compatible with the selected model. Mind that the image size in the example data must be compatible with the selected pre-trained model. Opening the log file from the button on the right will be able to help you further.
Please consider sending it to us to sup...@dgbes.com for further assistance.

Best regards,

How can I link Petrel 2018 to Opendtectv 7.0.8?

Hi Mohammed,

We do not support a link to Petrel 2018. Currently supported links to Petrel are: 2022, 2023 and 2024, see https://dgbes.com/software/download/opendtect-pro-plugin-for-petrel .

PS: As moderator, I should not have passed your request because your question is unrelated to the initial question in this thread about Machine Learning. As we save all threads in an archive for future reference, please do not respond to an existing chain if you have a completely unrelated question.

Thanks and best regards,

Paul.
