Hi all,
it doesn't seem to be possible to pick faults on time slices.
Is it intentional or a user error ?

Thanks

Hi Vincent,

You can pick faults on time slices. Please ensure that the fault (or FaultStickSet) has not been picked on another element such as inline or cross-line prior to starting picking on your z-slice, since we cannot 'mix' where these are picked.

Best Regards,
Kristoffer

Kristoffer,
How do you connect the fault segments picked on time slices to make the vertical fault plane?

Hi Eric,

When you interpret a single fault, the sticks connect automatically. Please make sure you are viewing the fault ’in full’ if you cannot see it. If you interpret a FaultStickSet (i.e. blind fault sticks) these need to be connected to create fault planes by using the polygon select tool in the bottom toolbar. Please see this link for a deep-dive into faults and this link for faultsticksets.

Best Regards,
Kristoffer
