Which azimuth to load for a directional well?

Hey guys recently joined!

I´m wondering which azimuth to load for a directional well. Should I select Azimuth True North or Azimuth Grid North? I suspect is the later one.

Welcome to the OpendTect community!

The directional well import indeed requires the Grid North azimuth. True North support is on our to-do list, though.

I'll ask our support team to add a note about the North reference to the manual.
