Failure to add well markers

Dear,

I am having difficulty adding well markers.

I go to the well manager > Edit Well Markers, and import the file in .txt format. The markers are shown on this screen, as you can see in screenshot number 1 attached.

However, they are not available for selection, neither in the Show option, nor are they available in Properties under the Markers tab (screens number 2 and number 3).

Even though checkout data was already included when importing the Well Track data.

Hi Carlos,

Assuming you are working in a time survey, it seems to me that there is no Depth-Time model, or the model is wrong. When I view markers I also see the TWT value of each marker, whereas this column is missing in your image, see screenshot below. Check if you can display the well track in the 3D scene and check the Depth-to-Time model.

Hi Paul, thank you for your reply.

I'm working on a time study and I can visualize the well trajectory in the 3D scene.

After numerous attempts to resolve this issue, the software closed and when I reopened it was showing the markers.

However, after reading your message and viewing the image you sent, I have some questions.

1) After importing the well, including the Depth-to-Time model data, should the software include this column in the marker table?

or

2) Does the inclusion of markers only work with the inclusion of the TWT(ms) column?

I only included the Depth-to-Time model when importing the well, and when including the markers I only included the MD (m) and Name data, and the software included the TVD(m) and TVDSS(m) columns.

Yes, at least in my version (v.7.0.9), it does.

2) Does the inclusion of markers only work with the inclusion of the TWT(ms) column?

No, that column is part of the marker table when I open this from the markers icon in the basic well manager. I do not know why you don't get this. Unless, perhaps you are using a version where this column is not present. From what you said, I deduce that OpendTect got messed up as it worked again after you restarted.
