Hey all.

I'm new to the group and new to using OpendTect.  I'll ask your indulgence as I ask for help on what are probably simple matters.

First one:  I've loaded a 3D seismic survey.  Load looks fine.  Data histogram looks reasonable.  Volume cube looks strange (first picture), but there is obviously data there.  Line, crossline, and Z slice data doesn't look fine.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Brian (?),

I believe that updating your graphics drivers to the latest version or installing the proprietary ones will solve the issue. If this doesn't help, you can try to switch off the relevant shading option and set the resolution to standard. Please take a look at the second question on our Visualization FAQ page for detailed instructions.

Hoping this helps.

Best regards,
Victoria

Hello,

I think you have not loaded correctly your data, it seems you did not read the SEGY file in the right order.
Take care also of using orthographic projections for your screenshot because there is lots of distortion in what you show. a bit of angle in your view could be better.

Best,

Julien

The problem looks to me like a video card issue, given that the volume view and statistics are OK. To check this, try turning off OpenGL shading. You may need to upgrade your drivers.
