First of all I don’t have the Petrel Link.
I have received a 3D data set in depth plus exports of horizons and faults interpretation.
The survey ranges are as below. The regional datum is 1294 m which is expressed as -1294m above mean sea level. This above seal level is negative and below sea level is positive.
The horizon and fault data is in X,Y and Z format eg.
-27642.2 | -3112840 | 471.6359 |
It appears that when I import the fault and horizon data, I have to multiply the Z-values by -1 to match it to the Z-values of the seismic data.
Is that correct?
From what I have seen on images it appears that Petrel is expressing depth above seal level as positive and OpenDect expresses depths above sea level as negative.
Is that correct

I can't say as I do not know what was done to your horizons If the imported horizons match the seismic data, I would not worry about this.
From what I have seen on images it appears that Petrel is expressing depth above seal level as positive and OpenDect expresses depths above sea level as negative.
Is that correct?
