I'm pretty certain that loaddap is not finding the writedap helper application. If writedap is in /usr/local/bin and that directory is not on your PATH, then I think it should still work, but try this: Copy writedap (or make a soft link) to /usr/bin. I'm certain that is on PATH.

I copied writedap to   /usr/bin

I run make_NCEP again

This time some other errors it is giving

??? One or more output arguments not assigned during call to "loaddap".

Error in ==> download_NCEP at 189
    x=loaddap('-A -e +v',[ncep_url,char(catalog(k))]);

Error in ==> make_NCEP at 104
  download_NCEP(Ymin,Ymax,Mmin,Mmax,lonmin,lonmax,latmin,latmax,...

How to solve this

Also I have a doubt  the make_NCEP is trying to connect the url   " http://nomad1.ncep.noaa.gov:9090/dods/reanalyses/reanalysis-2/"

I don't know the this link is having data  or not

Hi Sasmal

Do you resolved this issue?

I also meet this error, is it due to that the NCEP server is now using https?

I tried to use an accessible http link, the loaddap just works fine

However, when I use loaddap with an accessible https link, it always end up with the error:

One or more output arguments not assigned during call to "loaddap"

Have any ideas?
