hi y’all…

I got the message below when trying to download https://opendap.larc.nasa.gov/opendap/CATS/L1B_D-M7.2-V3-00/2016/09/CATS-ISS_L1B_D-M7.2-V3-00.2016-09-14T10-34-05T11-21-39UTC.hdf5.  I accessed this link from https://cats.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/browse/2016-09-14.  since I believe the opendap link should have worked, I’m hoping someone from the opendap crew can put things back in working order.

many thanks…

Mark Vaughan

hi y’all…

I’m still getting the same “Hyrax - Internal Error (500)” message when I try downloading data from the CATS web site.  can you offer a WAG on when this glitch might be resolved?

many thanks…

Mark

Hello Mark Vaughan,

Thanks for reaching out. I took a look at the URL and the resource you shared. I can confirm the web list is broken. It seems to me that that entire data collection is no longer available from the On-Premises OPeNDAP server. This issue is likely a result of the broader Earthdata archives being migrated to the cloud.

I found the data collection of interest directly from Earthdata Search, and OPeNDAP is not yet listed as a resource yet (i.e. via the CMR). We do not have a date as to when the data will become available on the Cloud OPeNDAP server, nor when the webpage will update those outdated download inks.

For now, the best recommendation I have is to search+access that data of interest directly from Earthdata Search for now.

Some useful resources:
  • Earthdata search: https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search
  • Relevant data product (to type in on Earthdata search): CATS-ISS Level 1B Day Mode 7.2 Version 3-00
  • You can filter by time range (say sept 2016) on the webform as well.

Apologies for any inconvenience, we are also hoping this collection becomes available on the Cloud OPeNDAP server soon

Best,

Miguel
