M-Cord development enviroment in a box

Hi,
I would like to evaluate the potential of M-CORD in a box, because I don't have a target server. I just have signed an account up and asked for joining cord-testdrive, but I got the following message : "Your request for membership in project 'cord-testdrive' has not yet been approved by the project leader. "

What step should I do to go on?

Hi Ale,

I replied your question in another email for the account issue.

For the M-CORD platform (ONOS, openstack, xos), please use the CORD 2.0.

Those days, we are working on the 3.0, it is not ready yet.

CORD in a box is mainly for developers. To setup the full m-cord, you need the full pod + RRH + phone

For the VNFs, like BBU, EPC, we have two choices:

ONE is close source BBU from Cavium + EPC from Quortus. 

Another is open source, but we have not open to normal users, need to wait months.

Hi Pingping,

thanks for letting me know.

I'm a Phd student at University of Palermo and I would like to test what functionalites can be used.

In particular I would like to know ,if it is possibile, to apply functional split beetween rrh and bbu (in cloud ran architecture).

Regarding the configuration, we have some general purpose server and two USRP (to simulate rrh and/or Ue).

In the case CORD in the box doesn't meet my expectations , would it be possible to install the full m-cord by using virtual macchines and usrp (to emulate rrh)?

Hi,

I'm frozen at step 3 of the following guide https://wiki.opencord.org/display/CORD/M-CORD+Developer+Environment+for+CORD+2.0 where I need to use the ssh command line , I'm getting the following error : "permission denied (publickey).

I also created the ssh key pair , but nothing...any idea to go ahead?

You can try it with emulating RRH, I do not have that experience.

For the key issue, did you upload your public key to the cloudlab?

What kind of USRP you use? We use the X310 with OAI software eNB to test the functionalities.
And what kind of environment you built? CORD-in-a-box or CORD-POD?
