Hello everyone,
We have seen that the /files directory is increasing in size. Inside the directory we have the subdirectory /collection and /mediapackage.
For the /mediapackage subdirectory we can do a scheduled cleanup with the Working File Repository Cleanup property of the custom.properties file.
But for the /collection subdirectory we still haven't found a solution. Furthermore, all the timelinepreviews and some composers of the events created in opencast are being stored in the collection directory, and at the end of the workflow they are not deleted.
In the workflow we have the cleanup configured as the last operation, as is by default in the official OpenCast documentation. We have tried changing the delete external from true to false because we use NFS, but the timelines and composer are still stored when creating a new event.
On the one hand, we would like to have more information about the purpose of the /files directory, such as what it is used for, whether its files can be deleted once the workflows are finished, ...
On the other hand, we would like to know a way to clean these directories regularly.
Best regards, Ferran.
