Hi,
If you prefer cutting individual events only: select the event, then go to "actions" (dropdown next to the search field) -> start task -> proceed -> select task: studio upload ; disable all options including "Skip generating editor preview" will bring you the scissor icon after the editor preview assets have been generated.

Hi Lars,

we came upon the same issue where we needed to edit studio uploads but could not. I understand the reasoning behind when you explain it. However, I think there are also strong arguments for enabling the editing option:

- the demo video for Opencast Studio explicitely mentions the editing capability (Google Search "Opencast Studio")
- professors record videos of such length (30-60 minutes) that they do not have the time to re-record.
- there are many possible interruptions or glitches e.g. phone calls, doorbell, etc.
- being only able to trim the start and end does not help in such cases

Best,
Andreas

If you really want that, it's just configuration.
Just just need to adapt the studio workflow.

Admittedly, this requires access to the admin UI - unless you were referring to the newly released stand-alone-editor, Lars.
