Update 11.9 to 12.4 : Issues

Hello,

I have some problems with updating my opencast from 11.9 to 12.4.

ERROR 1 : Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: (conn=26) Unknown column 'delete_me' in 'field list'

Everytime admin interface is refresh, this error is written in log. How do i fix it ?

ERROR 2 : I am unable to delete event.

When i try to delete an event with retract or delete workflow i've got this error in opencast.log :

2022-11-02T11:23:49,182 | ERROR | (IndexServiceImpl:1509) - Unable to remove the event 'ecca0665-074f-41b5-a2cf-54e3534bc539' because removing workflow failed:
org.opencastproject.workflow.api.WorkflowDatabaseException: Could not delete workflow with ID '320828'

Does someone already fixed this ?

I fixed the second problem by changing the configuration "delete-external" to false in retract workflow.

But now i have a new error for some media (not all) that i cannot delete and show that error :

ERRATUM : i still have the error 2022-11-02T14:59:30,861 | ERROR | (IndexServiceImpl:1509) - Unable to remove the event 'd0b62ca9-c4e6-4762-9c0c-c5d75f4da66a' because removing workflow failed:
org.opencastproject.workflow.api.WorkflowDatabaseException: Could not delete workflow with ID '319495'

On blank media.

Does someone has information about this error ?

Hi Lylian,

I'm late to the party here, but did you run the database migration scripts?  That SQL Exception says you're missing a column, which *should* be in the upgrade scripts.  Regarding the rest, I'm not sure.  The IOException looks like there could be some filesystem weirdness going on.

Hi Greg,

We started the database migration scripts but he was missing some things. Matthias Neugebauer gave us some fix for our database and it's working from now !

He fixed the problem here : https://github.com/opencast/opencast/pull/4221
