Curious loading problem with Moodle Opencast connection

So I have Opencast set up with Moodle. I thought it was working great - I am using the API connection and have a Series module serving up the videos. But the video does not always load...and then after a long time, I can go back and it will load...(perhaps 30 minutes) - in Firefox, I am seeing a 403 error but I am not seeing any errors on Opencast. I have this proxied through Cloudflare so wondering if that is causing this. I have seen some CORS errors but the fact that eventually they will load as intended has me totally baffled and is of course very hard to diagnose...

Looking for any suggestions and wondering if it could be a cache issue on the opencast server (have blown away caches on cloudflare and moodle to no avail) and if so, how would I clear the caches there...

Hi Emma,

did you enable "Securing Static Files"?

If so, any cache involved may have to vary its response depending on the cookie, the cookie which authorizes your Moodle users to see the video file.

What do you mean by " the video does not always load", player keeps trying to load and fails, or something else?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I had not believed it was simple setting due to its erratic nature but this fixed it!
