media failing various reasons

Hello All, 

Bit of a problem, we installed 14.2 everything seemed to be working fine, but today we are finding that the workspace on each of the workers in not emptying as such the drives are filling up, any ideas what we've done??

Adding to this, in /var/lib/opencast/workspace/mediapackage is filling up and one worker is at 100%

custom.properties is as follows
org.opencastproject.storage.dir=/srv/opencast

More testing, since upgrading on August 21st no mediapackages have been added to the nfs share /srv/opencast the first day 7th Sept all events are sitting on the workers 

Note that the directives for file/storage locations has not changed between v8 and v14

Our opencast user can access the /srv/opencast nfs share from the workers - file writing is possible

What's the log look like? There has to be something repeating/retrying, which should generate repetition in the logs.

1) All nodes have the same configuration

2) The mounts are correct on all nodes

Hey both, 

I finally remembered that the exact same thing happened when I installed Opencast 8 from scratch, basically on our system (which does not make this right) we originally had the unchanged line in custom.properties
org.opencastproject.workspace.rootdir=/var/lib/opencast/workspace     -  Trouble is media analysis created the resources on each machine so each node potentially had a folder with resources in for the media, 64 events later and everything was failing due to lack of space or the inability to find a resource and it's only the 1st day

So we changed the line to 

org.opencastproject.workspace.rootdir=${org.opencastproject.storage.dir}/workspace - not sure if this is the best way to do this but it works and I'm past caring.

after cleansing the systems, we started the import of the media from the Extrons
