Hi everyone,

as promised here are my slides from the "State of the Union" I gave at this year's Opencast Summit. You can also watch the recording here: https://video.ethz.ch/events/opencast/2023/berlin/4878e0f9-5ae0-40d8-8869-08383c2ebfdc.html

Kind regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,

thank you for sharing your presentation and slides.

Some notes for interested viewers regarding the presentation, as there were two "demonstration effects" that could happen too easily in a live demonstration:
- (00:06:45) The first created annotation was missing from the timeline because the timeline was scaled to show 0 to ~6 th second of video at that point (but the annotation was created further more on the right, at ~ 10th second of video), users can scale and navigate in the timeline (e.g. with the scrollwheel or UI buttons in the lower left corner), so unfortunately it was out of bounds on the right side.

- (00:19:00) The used builder tool can be considered an early stage. The imported category was unfortunately not checked in the builder during presentation; that is why the categories did not show in the annotation template at (00:20:35). The source of the builder can be found here: https://github.com/luniki/oat-questionnaire-creator. We also run a demo here (but do not intend to do so long-term): https://www.uni-muenster.de/Unterrichtsvideos/builder/

Also, as Julian mentioned, we provide test data in our meeting protocols: https://pad.uni-muenster.de/s/b-1EDin-O

You're welcome to try the feature out yourself.

Manuel
