Hallo zusammen,

diese Email dient als Referenzpunkt zum Anfang dieser Mailingliste. Die
Unterhaltungen auf diese Liste sollen sich um das Opencast Annotation
Tool drehen.

Da, soweit ich weiß, alle aktuellen Nutzer:innen dieses Tools Deutsch
sprechen sehe ich kein Problem darin diese Liste erstmal auf Deutsch zu
belassen. Allerdings sollten wir auf Englisch wechseln sobald sich dies
ändert.

Starting in German makes this list and this community pretty much unapproachable for the international part of our community, and basically screams “you are not welcome” at anyone else. So, you are setting a very high bar for someone to show up and ask to switch the language of this list. I am very much in favor to use English right from the start like Opencast does in general.

sorry for not thinking about this point before. You are of course right.
We should stick to English from the beginning.
