Hi all,

not every ticket that is filed in Jira takes days and in-depth knowledge
to get solved. Some of them can be fixed within hours and without the need
to know Matterhorn system details. Examples could be:

- Simple UI improvements
- Missing/unclear log statements
- Incomplete unit tests

I propose to mark such tickets with the label “Quickfix” so that they may
be found rapidly. The criteria to mark a ticket could be that it shouldn’t
take longer than 2-4 hours to fix it and it only requires basic knowledge
in the relevant technology.

Based on the label we could than have a list of tickets that are good starting
points for new committers.

Feedback welcome :-)

Regards, Basil

Hi,

I believe it's a good idea, not only for new committers, but for those who have little time and want to dedicate the occasional spare hour to contribute to the project.

A big +1 to that!
