ONOS 2.7 release

Hello everyone,

ONOS code-base is ready for release of 2.7.0 (X-Wing). The maintenance branch onos-2.7 has been created, QA feature and HA tests are passing. The plan was to “press the button” and release today, but unfortunately, Sonatype - our gateway for releasing to Maven central - is currently experiencing severe performance and reliability issues (see https://status.maven.org/). Given that this issue is expected to last several days and there is almost nothing we can do from our end other than wait, we have decided to postpone release of 2.7.0 until the first week of January 2022.

Apologies of the delay. In the mean-time, ONOS 2.7.0-rc1 is available and is nearly identical to what the official release will be.
