Members of this Group:
I was a bit embarrassed that I liked RYU much better
that the other controllers (it was very easy to use
and even easier to explain to non-OpenFlow engineers).
I was told that RYU's difficulty with scaling
and multiprocessor functioning was a problem
and that it was not a production controller.
I spoke with members of NTT and RYU is the controller
used on the national network. They are not having problems.
They just have controllers operating on a fixed
set of switches and do not overload the controllers.
That is to say the controllers are judiciously placed
and are operating on a national production network.
If a new segment is brought up, it has its controller.
So the "not ready for production" may not be a good
description for RYU. For other RYU fans, this is
good news.
Cheers to everyone.
