Hi all,

I am planning to explore INT with ONOS. But in the wiki I can not find anything about how to start exploring INT with ONOS.
Can anyone point me to some kind of how to article or some kind of hands on activity for this.

Thanks,
Robin

hm, I don't have idea INT but last time some peoples added to the header packet monitored IntMon via ONOS.
Maybe, you firstly look at:

I have checked that presentation. Besides this there is a closed issue on JIRA of ONOS. So i guess, INT is already supported in ONOS via P4runtime.

I'm not sure about that supported INT.

Hi All,

Just to clarify some things:

INT (In-Band-Network Telemetry) it’s a P4 based approach to telemetry that uses custom headers in the packet to learn data about network state along the path the packet traverses without having to add telemetry specific data. More information can be found here https://github.com/p4lang/p4-applications/blob/master/docs/INT.pdf

The p4-brigade is currently working on the ONOS support for INT. I’ve cc’ed the Brigade and in particular Jonghwan and Serkant which are spearheading the effort.
We already have a int.p4 program and are currently working in the collector and APIs

You are more then welcome to support the work, we are always looking for good help.

Cheers,

Good night,
I'm trying to work with INT (available in https://wiki.onosproject.org/display/ONOS/In-band+Network+Telemetry+%28INT%29+with+ONOS+and+P4), but I´m facing a problem. I´m not achieving to display the INT result on Grafana. I observed  which  when I start the BFPCollector, the same way as video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXRef0IhXGM&feature=youtu.be) showed, the INTdatabase is created into Influxdb, but there are no tables (measurements) there. Please, could you help with this issue?
Best regards,
Debora Job

Hi,

If report packets are received and processed by the INTCollector correctly, you can see the measurement data in the database.
To verify that, you can launch the collector with "-d 1" option, which prints every single report data it processes.

And also note that INTCollector does not store every single report data.
Instead, it stores the measurement data either periodically or when an event happens (e.g., new flow arrives, hop latency fluctuation occurs).

Thanks,
Jonghwan

Dears,

I have the same problem in launching INT Collector. I use ngsdn-tutorial file, I insert 127.0.0.1 in ONOS in-band Telemetry Control as the collector. Every thing seems OK, but when I want to add db to grafana, it seems that the db created in my system does not receive data. I was wondering if you would help me to resolve the issue.

Best regards,
Fatemeh
