Yes, you are correct. In the case of ordinal scale of measurement, the difference between two
consecutive pairs of values need not be the same whereas in the case of interval scale of
measurement, the difference between two consecutive values is a fixed unit of measure.
The possible ratings here are integers from 1 to 5. The
ordered values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 have a difference of 1 between any two consecutive values.
Therefore, it has an interval scale of measurement.
If the options for ratings were Good, Average, and Bad, then it has an ordinal scale
of measurement since we do not know for sure that the difference between Good and
Average is same as the difference between Average and Bad.
