sir/madam,
How come option 3 is correct ? and why not option 2 ? please elaborate.
Statement 1: Amount of time Aakash spends on painting is 0 hr.
Statement 2: We cannot make any conclusion about Aakash because data is not
available to us.
1.()Both the statements are correct.
2.()Statement 1 is correct but statement 2 is not correct.
3.()Statement 2 is correct but statement 1 is not correct
4.()None of the statements are correct
Thankyou,

Number of days a group of students take to finish a school project is a:
Quantitative and Discrete variable
Quantitative and Continuous variable
Qualitative variable
Quantitative but not discrete or continuous variable
The number of days can be 2days and 10hours (both are units of time) so why
it is discrete variable ?

You are drawing conclusions from the given data. you already concluded that
80 % of the students opted to write that exams. So the answer will be
Inferential. Go through the course video once again..

FOR EACH CASE, THE VARIABLES ARE RECORDED
so, for every 30 mins, humidity and temperature were recorded. therefore,
time is case whereas humidity and temperature are variables. another way to
look at this is .... for ech case (i.e. time) variables for two constants
are recorded. which means that humidity and temperature were surely to be
recorded for each case. the value or data it took were varied.
please let me know if it clears it up and let me know if there are any
other doubts

DISCRETE NUMERICAL VALUE : the data for which the values are discrete,
certain, known.
for example: 1) rolling a die. now I know the values / outcomes that might
appear. and hence the observation can only take certain values.
2) when the customers are asked to rate the quality
of services provided, all the possible outcomes are already known to us.
and hence the data set will only include
specific and certain particular values.
3) lets assume that a teacher is asked to choose 8
children out of a class of 32 students at random. the teacher calls out 8
distinct roll nos. so in this case,
all the possible outcomes in all 8 rounds of selection were known and
discrete and certain to all students and audience.
CONTINUOUS NUMERICAL VALUE : the data for which the values are unknown.
for example: 1) the heights of all the students of grade 12 were recorded
by a school. now here, we do not know the exact values of the heights that
is to be calculated. the heights of two
students can be 152cm and 176.65cm resp. now here we couldn't have guessed
or known the values the heights_of
the students would take.
ALSO ,* discrete numerical values are the values that can be counted. and
continuous numerical values are values that can be measured.*
hope this helps. please let me know if you have any other doubts.

That is quite true, but while we infer about the data, we usually won't be
describing the sample. Instead we will be predicting the population.
Descriptive analysis should relate to, as per my understanding, on
summarizing the sample itself while not giving any judgement of the
population. So if we draw estimates of population from samples, we infer
but not describe. Again this my view. Open to any counter arguments!

What I understood in election example is.
We collected data randomly and made prediction about results so its
inferential but not descriptive.
After actual result we described data like who voted whom so its is
descriptive analysis but not inferential.
Correct me if am wrong
