confusion between inferential and descriptive

in first activity question where a poll on wheather student want exam in next week or not 

answer is inferential but i think it should be descriptive because no prediction is made and conclusion is just a summary of stat

Hi, 

In this question, a sample of 10000 students is randomly collected. That is we don't have entire population with us, it is just a sample. Hence, we will infer about the entire population by studying our sample. Population, here, is all the students who applied to write exams.
