not graded assignments

I am doing a not graded assignment but after that everytime I am opening it again , every answer disappeares . Is this what is supposed to happen ? Are we supposed to submit only the graded assignments?

The Activity questions and Practice assignments are for your learning and scores will not be used or counted anywhere
