In my area in Northeast Thurston County, we have LOTS of Scotch Broom, some clover, thimble berrys, dandelions, and a few other blooms.
I see bees in our apiary covered in scotch broom pollen.
I get conflicting information about the nutritive value and nectar content of scotch broom.
So far I am still seeing nectar and pollen on frames in the hives. I will inspect again to confirm.
I have put in a few inventory frames of honey. If it seems we have a dearth, I will fill my frame feeders. I have 1:1 syrup on hand and will fortify that to 2:1. The bees are consuming pollen supplement strips.
This is at least a fun video regarding scotch broom. Let me know if you have better information on nutritive value of scotch broom. I could send some clippings to you for planting in your yard!
