I am pretty new with beekeeping.
I have one hive at present and ready to split it if it grows strong enough this year.
I spent four hours with Charlie on Wednesday.
We inspected his three hives and conducted a mite test on his oldest hive.
Fortunately, we only found one mite, so we didn't have to treat.
It sure looked like his main hive was actively robbing the other two hives that were recently started. That was a new observation for me.
I really appreciate Charlie's help and allowing me to observe how to do many things that I haven't seen before. He also showed me what equipment I am going to need.
See you at the June meeting.
