FORWARDING TO BOND2025

The following was sent to me by someone well versed in the financial community, for consideration by the WPCA

Al

Seems to me that our OLS property members should consider the facts on all sides of the discourse on central sewers.

  1. If the official WPCA numbers buy into an "overly" inflated EDU, the vote will be dead on arrival. Will the official Deep forecast see the light of day before the vote? (not everyone voting was on the zoom call)
  2. There is a probability that the state "will" penalize OLS property owners for a NO SEWERS decision. The cost for that outcome must be reflected on the cost side of the NO SEWERS forecast.
  3. OLS owners should be reminded that home values will increase at least 7% with central sewers. (A $600,000 property will likely increase by $42,000 plus an annual value increase), So, the $42,000 should be factored into the YES SWERS forecast.
  4. Clearly most of the NO SEWERS group are pollution deniers, but there are those who want to do the right thing. (need to appeal to that instinct)
  5. For small lots, the price of a new compliant septic system is huge and growing each year. This cost belongs in the 20-year NO SEWERS forecast.
