Grant money continues to flow out of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Children continue to be a key target population in the health reform legislation. Evidence clearly shows that providing access to health services within a school environment dramatically improves health outcomes. School based health centers provide an opportunity to provide services in the location where children spend a great deal of their time. The School Based Health Center Capital Program (SBHCC) offers $50 million in grant funding per year to establish and make capital improvements to these types of entities.
Join Kerrie Hora from Cisco and Chris LaPage from the Grants Office team as we explore the SBHCC program, including ways in which health IT and underlying infrastructure can be written into the project budget. Attendees will gain an understanding of key program details as well as tips for positioning a successful application.
