RWGPS Event with all four route options (dirty/clean X long/short)

Ronde PDX 2026 was a hot day with cool kids climbing steep hills. We raised $1949 for Community Cycling Center and Gisted Wishes thanks to generous rider donors and sponsors Nossa Familia, Hopworks Brewing, and skratch labs. We had more volunteers than ever, making it the smoothest running.

Hi Friends,

Today is La Doyenne Eve. Tomorrow, we ride. We have some important notes to share.

Ride with GPS Event with four route options

Strava event

Skratch, Nossa Familia, and Hopworks served throughout the day

  • Scotty from skratch labs will be at the start line with skratch hydration. Feel free to arrive with empty bottles and fill up with the best sport drink known to lion-kind. Then top off again at the Aid Station. And after slaying the hills, you’ll appreciate the skratch recovery sport drink at the finish.
  • We’ll have cans of Nossa Familia cold brew at all three locations too.
  • You’ll have to suspend your thirst for beer until the end to enjoy a cold one from Hopworks Brewery. But it will be worth the wait and effort.
  • Please support all three sponsors for your hydration and nutrition outside of Chasing Lion Life.

Art Raffle

Win the amazing original 12”x15” pencil drawing by Mark Molchan featuring Eddy “The Cannibal” Merckx, who won La Doyenne five times – more than any other racer. If you can’t make the ride, you can still enter the raffle! Venmo @Devin-Bailly $10 per raffle entry, or 5 entries for every $40. Deadline to enter raffle is 2 PM, 5/30. All proceeds from the raffle are donated to Gifted Wishes and Community Cycling Center.

Free Haircut from Cutters PDX

Whoever is the first person to finish any one of the four courses and then does an EXTRA victory lap around the Mt. Scott square, earns a free haircut from barber Brian Burt of Cutters PDX. Check in with Mark or Devin at the finish line before and after riding the double square.

Be chill, respect thy neighbor

Always obey the laws of the road and be respectful and polite to neighbors, walkers, dogs, and drivers. Do so especially on SE Crystal Springs St. (Blvd) at mile 8.8 on the long routes, after climbing Tenino St. Neighbors on that street actively reached out requesting tranquility.

See you tomorrow.
