Hello,

I wanted to inform you that the person who listed the Garmin Edge, Erik Carter, below may be a scammer.  I bought the device from Erik who listed it.  I sent the money and reached out after waiting 2 weeks to receive the device. I received the following message from him: 

"Hi Morgan,

I just got a message now that your Garmin has been returned back to the courier office.they said there was a little error.they are asking me to reconfirm this address if it is yours.

And also they are asking for $50 so they will be able to ship back to your address.i will need you to help me send $50 with a new Zelle details I will give you.

Once I recieve my paycheck in 2 weeks time I will refund back to you.Get back to me so I can give you new Zelle details for $50."

The $50 additional costs (which he promises to pay back) and the sentence that states I should send money to a “new Zelle” account  tells me this is not good.  I’ve told him that $50 was not a reasonable shipping cost for that device and that I no longer want it.  I asked for a reimbursement minus any shipping costs to date.  I’ve not heard back but expect that I’ve been scammed.  Just a heads up so that you do not list again from this source.

I’m so sorry to hear that you got scammed. I just want to say my husband Erik Carter is a real person and part of the OBRA community. However not this is not him. We were scammed by I assume the same person trying to buy wheels. We received a similar email from the scammer when they went to mail the wheels. Please note we are local and would meet you in the pdx area.
