Pre-reg closes at 5pm for The Dalles Omnium

Hi all, 

Ken here from Team Oregon - just wanted to let folks know that pre-reg closes today at 5pm for The Dalles Omnium this weekend. We will have onsite registration, but there will be an additional $10 upcharge. 

Registration is filling out and weather is looking warm but reasonable for both days! Silver lining around the warmer weather is less wind out in the Gorge. Looking like it won't get over 10mph all weekend, which for the Gorge is pretty dang good. We will take care of our riders with a neutral feed for the PM races and lots of water and NeverSecond mix at staging and the finish. We can't help with the wind stuff, but I hear getting aero and pedaling harder helps? 

By my calculations we are about 20 registrations off from breaking even on this event. Chip timing and a heavily flagged course means money is tight, but if that's what it takes to bring back a classic road race in the Gorge, so be it! 

I just love bike racing, y'all! Thank you to everyone who is coming out this weekend. You are making the dreams of a a midpack cat 3 - who yearns for the golden days of Oregon cycling - come true!
